County U15s

Durham County Under 15s

The Durham County U15’s start their campaign for the 2016/2017 season in the New Year with dates and venues to be confirmed.

Before the team selection process, the U15s completed training/ assessment sessions the same as the other County teams to enable the coaching team to see who out of the nominated players should be invited to represent the County.

After the assessment process the U15s were thinned out to pick a representative team! The competition continues at training as players are in contest for places in the matchday squad.

Durham U15s V Cumbria U15s : Sunday, 15 @ West Hartlepool RFC 2pm

In the last meeting of the Durham County RFU 2016/2017 campaign against Cumbria, it was one a piece once again – but this time the tables turned on the winning team.

Durham Bishops 11 – 15 Cumbria Bears and Durham Princes 19 – 12 Cumbria Hawks

In the previous game against Northumberland, it was the Bishops coming out on top as the Princes marginally missed out. However, in the latest battle, Cumbria Bears swooped in to grab a last moment win from underneath the Bishop’s nose.

To end the season, both sides, Durham Princes and Durham Bishops reflect with one win and one lose each.

The selected lads will return to club and school duties and will work towards being selected again later in the year. Until then the U15 County volunteers will have a little break from County duties before all the hard work and selection begins again.
