Disciplinary Hearings are held at regular intervals during the course of the season at Sunderland RFC.
The Secretary of any Club having a player dismissed from the field of play MUST inform the Disciplinary Secretary within 48 hours of the game. When doing so it is necessary that they provide the players name, date of birth, League registration number and also if possible the name and Society of the match referee.Clubs are reminded that their own Discipline Committee is charged under RFU Regulations with the responsibility of maintaining the standards of discipline within ALL sections of their Club. Clubs are required to take appropriate action in accordance with RFU Regulations and unless set out to the contrary in the regulations, shall be responsible for the conduct of their own members & for investigating allegation of foul play and/or acts of misconduct which have taken place on Club premises or as part of Club activity.Clubs are reminded that on receipt of the correspondence from the DCRFU Discipline Secretary it is their responsibility to ensure that a copy is handed to the player/person named in the charge. They are also asked to ensure that ALL the necessary fully completed forms are returned to the Disciplinary Secretary as soon as possible and at any rate at least 24 hours prior to the Hearing date.In respect of each case an admin fee of £25.00 will be charged. Cheques in respect of this fee should be made out to Durham County RFU.
Entering the playing enclosure and the use of barriers.
Clubs are reminded that RFU Regulation 13 sets out requirements as to the provision of barriers around pitches, technical areas and also Permitted Personnel who are allowed to enter the field of play. I would ask that ALL clubs make themselves fully aware of the regulations in order that the current prevalent practice of numerous, replacements, Coaches, physios’ and water carriers wandering up and down the touchline is kept within prescribed bounds.DATES OF DISCIPLINE HEARINGS – SEASON 2015 – 2016
