Now the season is over, the multiple layers and waterproofs are away – well for now, it can only mean one thing…. Touch Rugby time.

Across the next few months,  Durham County Women and Girls committee have organised a series of Touch events for Women and Girls across the County to attend.

On Thursday, Acklam Rugby club kick started the Women’s events welcoming; Billingham Ladies, Bishop Auckland Ladies, Darlington Ladies, newly formed Hartlepool Rovers, Sunderland Flames and Whitby Ladies!

Touch seemingly brings out the Inner Warrior in many of the Women with each team committing their all to trying to score points and challenge one another.

Due to the popular interest in the event, the event was cut short before all teams had played one another due to time but there is still time to score points again one another in coming weeks.
